Some old branding jobs

October 13th, 2006

A while ago I used to be really into branding. I really like the business aspect of the brand and I think I really got into it during my marketing class few semesters ago. So, here are just some examples of work I dug up from a while ago.

OfficeFire.com

OfficeFire logo

OfficeFire was going to be a blog or a service targeted directly to … offices and all things business. Unfortunately, this project never got past this stage. I really enjoyed working on this one and had really great ideas about where I would take the site, so it’s unfortunate it never took off. That is not to say it never will…

The logo represents a simple cubicle with a desk (green). Once shown to a group of designers, a lot of people were able to see it right away, but some didn’t. So I feel as though I might have been able to do a better job.

ArtHero.com

ArtHero logo

Art Hero is my freelancing firm’s identity. It’s always interested to see people misunderstand the name and claim ‘Arthero’ as my last name, but then again, it’s easy to see why they would. In fact, most people who used to go to the site always read it as one word. I found myself turning down a lot of nice freelancing jobs in the past so I took down the site (schools comes first boys and girls!)

The point in the type-mark was to show that it is indeed two words as I have intended originally. The logo itself meant to represent a shield in a simple way. Get it? I’m your art hero… so a shield, because heroes have shields, right? Right.

I have to admit I didn’t see the cubicle right away. After all I’m not stuck in one day after day :) I’d try putting a subtle shadow on the green desk if you ever wanted to use it…

Love your logo. It’s more of a badge than a shield. Like something you’d get for pulling a buddy out of the mud in Nam.

    Peace bud.

I have always struggled with identity branding, but it looks like you have a good feel for it. Didn’t you once have some shading on the arthero badge? I thought that looked great as well.
