If you’re seeing this without a problem, then I was successful moving the blog.
I was surprised how easy it was. Only issue I ran into was updating to Wordpress 2.1 and using my old database backup (from earlier version of Wordpress).
Not a problem though. I uploaded all the new files, uploaded the theme, updated the database info, imported old database, then ran upgrade.php to make the database upgrades for v2.1.
All in all, smooth sailing. Here’s a tip for your future server moves:
Setup the domain name on your new host, but don’t change the name servers on your domain name yet. After all, nothing is setup yet, so why would you want your viewers viewing a blank page. Instead, go to your network settings and change DNS Servers to your host’s name server’s. In MediaTemple’s case, it is ns1. and ns2.mediatemple.com or 64.207.129.18 and 64.207.128.18 (you’ll need the IPs). Enter those, save settings, wait a second, load up your favorite browser and point it to your domain name. It will resolve on your new host! Setup and update everything, make sure it works fine and only then update the name servers of your domain name.
Good luck and as always, let me know if you see any abnormalities.

Absolutely stunning site design though
